With the official release date of October 27th, 2017 fast approaching, there’s not long to benefit from the Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Collectors Edition pre-order deal. So if you fancy saving money on a whole load of extras, you better make it quick. In the UK, the collectors edition is only available from Game. U.S fans can order via the Bethesda store.
The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Collectors Edition comes in a cool box which looks like a classic Action Man (or G.I. Joe) package. And inside, there’s a 1:6 scale model of the hero BJ Blazkowicz. At that size, the model is almost 1 foot tall. And like any great action figure, he comes with a choice of four guns and a hatchet, so you can choose which weapons he’ll dual wield. As a Nazi ‘Elite Hans’ figure, he’s referred to as “Terror-Billy”, and you can have him standing either in his signature balck-and-yellow jacket, or in an authentic bomber jacket for a more vintage wartime look.
Also inside the box of the Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Collectors Edition is the game, in a steelbook case, and a double-sided poster.
Those are all the physical extras. But you’ll also get a further pre-order bonus by ordering the new FPS shooter from MachineGames rather than picking it up from the shop on release day. Pre-ordering from Game also gets you access to the first of the planned DLC content, The Freedom Chronicles: Episode Zero. The DLC introduces American heroes Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant and Gerald Watkins fighting against the Nazi oppression on home soil.

So if you’ve been waiting to decide whether to pick up Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, now might be the time to grab the Collectors Edition, as it costs £59.99 for the lot. Which considering how much a figure alone can cost, seems like a pretty good deal. You’ll be paying £39.99 for the standard edition, which still gets the DLC if you pre-order, but you won’t get to play with your BJ Blaskowicz figure. And what fun is that?
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is out for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 27th, 2017, with a Nintendo Switch version due out in 2018. The follow-up to the 2014 game, The New Order, it’s the eighth overal, and puts you in an alternate history of America following a Nazi victory in World War 2. So you start in 1961, trying to set up a revolution against the Nazi regime, and with the plot altering based on a morality system.
