Prey 2 Announced

In 2012, Prey 2 will be unleashed to the world on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. But not by the original publishers.

Bethesda Softworks acquired the title form 3D Realms and Human Head Studios, although the game is still being developed by the original creators, Human Head Studios.

Currently there isn’t much information on this title just yet, although it will utilise the same engine currently being used to develop Rage by id Software, called Tech 5.

Prey 2 was previously announced back in 2008 before the franchise was bought in 2009 by Bethesda, when it was under development with the Radar Group and 3D Realms.

Project lead, Chris Rhinehart had this to say, “We are thrilled to be working with Bethesda on Prey 2… Prey 2 will provide gamers the opportunity to explore a new facet of the Prey universe, one that offers fast-paced action in an open, alien world.”

It’ll be good to play this game, and it seems a fair amount of effort has and will be going into the rest of development. However I did find the game short… And a little easier than it probably should have been.
