New FPS games tournament features Brink

The Electronic Sports League has announced the ‘ESL Brink Championship’, featuring the new first person shooter published by Bethesda Softworks, and which will feature teams across Europe competing for a place at the finals at gamescom 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Up for grabs will be 15,000 Euros, with the winning team grabbing 5,250 Euro for becoming the best in Europe. The tournament will feature teams of five players competing in the stopwatch mode of the game, with qualifier cups leading to a main tournament season. Registration for the qualifiers has begun, with the best 16 teams qualifying for the main season, which starts on June 13th, 2011.

The final will be live at gamescom 2011 (August 18-21, 2011), with the best two Brink teams in Europe competing. Check out the ESL site for more info and to register for the qualifiers now.
