Crysis

Crysis is the first game of a triolgy developed by Crytek Franfurt, the guys behind FarCry.

This futuristic science fiction first person shooter is based near the Philippines, on the fictional Lingshan Islands where a buried ancient alien structure was discovered.

The year is 2020. You play Nomad, a member of the Raptor Team, part of the U.S. Army Special Forces. You are sent to locate and evacuate a team of American archaeologists led by Dr. Rosenthal, who activated a distress call after making a world changing discovery.

Equipped with an advanced military Nanosuit, allowing Nomad to amplify his hand to hand combat strength, or to increase armour protection, or maybe he’d like to cloak himself or run faster than a cheeter; the Raptors fight through hoards of both North Korean’s and extraterrestrial enemies to get these archaeologists back.

Upon locating and extracting the team, and learning how to defeat these aliens, the flight off and away from the island seems all too short when a transmission from Prophet, Raptor’s team leader, is picked up…

2011, September, Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli announced that the PC epic Crysis is to debut on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 before the end of the year as a downloadable game.
