Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is rumoured to be released in November 2011, and is being developed by three studios: Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven Software. This is the result of the departure of several Infinity Ward staff following the release of Modern Warfare 2, including co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella.

Details are scarce, but Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are said to be developing the single player game, with Raven handling online multi-player.

The plot seems likely to be a prequel to Modern Warfare, focusing on the character of Ghost, who played a major role in Modern Warfare 2.
