Battlefield 1943

Battlefield 1943 is an online only FPS develoepd by DICE, and set in the Pacific theatre of operations during World War 2. It was published by Electronic Arts on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live respectively, and included 3 classic Battlefield maps (Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima), with a fourth map (Coral Sea) unlocked after gamers collectively reached 43 million actions.

With up to 24 players in each game,  you can play as either a member of the U.S Marine Corps or Imperial Japanese Navy. The only gametype initially available was the traditional Conquest Mode, although Air Superiority was unlocked alongside the fourth map. Players can choose between three clases – Infrantryman, Rifleman and Scout, with unlimited ammo and regenerating health. You can also make use of fighter planes, tanks, jeeps and landing craft. Each map also includes Air Raid Bunkers which allow players to call in three bomber planes.
