We’ve only just written about the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Winds of Magic DLC. And now there’s more news about the first person fantasy game with the Vermintide 2 Versus Mode announcement and trailer.
The exciting bit isn’t that developer Fatshark will pit players versus other live opponents. But that one team of four heroes will fight against four players controlling the enemy forces. So you’ll get to be a Skaven or Rotblood, battling to kill the good guys.

“The player has always been the hero of the game, but in the Versus mode, players will now be able to play as the enemy factions.” says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. “Versus is a competitive game mode where two separate teams of four players take turns playing as the enemies and heroes.”

As a celebration of the new player-vs-player mode, both the standard and Collector’s Edition of Vermintide 2 are currently reduced by 60% on Steam, meaning that the normal version is £9.51, and the Collector’s Edition is just slightly more at £12.79. The sale runs until Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
That’s a small price to pay to be able to silence a group of annoying heroes…
