The Christmas spirit is well and truly alive in a number of FPS games, with bonus Christmas weapons, camouflage, and other updates all arriving for the festive season. What could share the spirit of giving and celebrating than shooting your opponents with a festive assault rifle?
So to celebrate Christmas 2013 in the right way, here are all the festive fps bonuses we’ve found so far – if we’ve missed any, let us know!
Call of Duty Ghosts Christmas Camo Pack:
As one of the biggest FPS games of the year, it’s not surprising plenty of people have been talking about the free Festive Personalisation Pack for Call of Duty Ghosts. Promoted in-game, you get a patch, player background, player card, snowflake reticle, and the lovely Christmas jumper camo for your guns. Sadly no reindeer antlers for your guard dog, though.
 Soldier Front 2 December Update:
Free-to-play shooter Soldier Front 2 has just received a December update to include some themed weapons and characters. The festive rifles include the M4A1 Merry, Bolt417 SNow and AK103 XM, along with the Snow and Snowman M67 grenades. There are also some non-themed additions including the QBZ97 Red Dragon, M4A1 Gladius and Shuriken Throwing Star.
In addition two characters have been introduced – the abominable Red Snow and sultry Cherry Bomb, plus two popular maps, Hard Snow and Farm House have been snowed over, with a limited-time Snowball fight game mode added.
Planetside 2:
The holiday-inspired Auraximas kicks off until January 8, 2014, with giveaways, holiday-inspired items, marketplace sales and more. Players can earn XP by taking out snowmen scattered across the frozen wasteland of Esamir, with 10 earning the “Snowblower” title. There are also rare Golden Snowmen (Yellow snow?) which give a more exlusive reward.
There’s a new pistol from Nanite systems, which unlocks a special title if you get a silver medal with it.
