VR Invaders – the Complete Edition is a virtual reality shooter for the PlayStation VR. It puts you in the character of Thomas Hall in 2046 as you have to shoot your way through his story and other game modes.
There’s a suitably futuristic plot about people getting stuck in virtual reality due to viruses, and freelance hackers being hired to extract the ‘Stuck’ by shooting everything that moves.
But it’s mainly about your abilities to slow time and transform your weapon. And lots of shooting. It’s been out of a while on PC (It’s available via Steam). And it’s been well received as a decent wave shooter offering good hit detection and action.
The Complete Edition adds a new target practice game mode, a local rating ladder systems, improvements to the AI and animation with new graphic effects and more destructible elements. And as you can see from the video above, it looks pretty decent if you want to impress non-VR owning friends.
VR Invaders Complete Edition costs $17.99 on the American PlayStation VR Store, or £14.99 on the European store.
