The Best Guns in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1

January 5, 2022 By Vapour Leave a Comment

Well folks, the time is upon us. Activision recently switched things up, including a new map, for what would have been the seventh season of CoD Warzone. But everyone knows the key change will be the weapon balancing. So what weapons are now the best guns in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1.

It’s a familiar experience for all of us to log into Warzone as soon as a new update has dropped. Only to see the guns that were once devastatingly powerful are now as useful as a water pistol. It can get confusing to keep up with all of the changes and weapon balances. So without further ado, here’s the list of the best choices for CoD Warzone Pacific Season 1.

The Automation

First up is the Automation. A deceptively underwhelming-looking assault rifle, this gun certainly isn’t going to catch many eyes straight away. But use it a couple of times and you’ll be surprised. At first use, its solid fire rate and insanely low recoil don’t seem close to compensating for the Automation’s low damage.

However, with the right setup, this gun’s true power is unleashed. It has by far the best range of any other assault rifle. The 100+ meter damage range is almost untouchable compared to that of other guns from the same class. We’ve seen in the past how absolutely deadly low recoil, low damage and high range assault rifles can be. One example being the Krig 6, which completely dominated the meta for half a year in 2021. And the Automation looks like the perfect successor.

The NZ-41

Another assault rifle and for good reason too. If the Automation is what will succeed the Krig 6, then this gun is sure to succeed the CR-56 AMAX and EM2. The unrivalled damage output is what puts this beautiful gun in a league of its own.

The only thing holding this gun back would be the low rate of fire and restricted mag sizes. But give it a few matches and you’ll soon learn just how powerful those 30-45 rounds are if you can hit your headshots. The weapon excels in mid to long range gunfights which aren’t hard to find on Caldera. Get ready to see and use this gun a lot in Warzone Pacific.

The M1912

Reminiscent of the chaos of the Mac 10. This SMG has an absolutely godlike fire rate paired beautifully with just enough damage to make it incredible when pointed at your enemy and downright terrifying when pointed at you. If you thought that was it, you are sorely mistaken because this insane SMG has absolutely gargantuan magazines. The 50 round default mags are already large enough to do some squad-wiping damage.

But if that wasn’t scary enough, the 100 round magazines have enough ammo in them that you don’t even have to aim. Just spray and pray and soon enough even the mightiest of those who stand against you will fall. With power like this, its hard to imagine a nerf that can remove the M1912 from its place as a meta weapon.

The PPSh-41

When it comes to SMGs, few drop other players as fast as this beast of a gun. The PPSh-41 is a submachine gun with a truly jaw-dropping fire rate and above average damage. The PPSh-41 is as good at sending players to the gulag as some of the games most historically incredible weapons. For example, the OTS 9.

The thing that set these two apart is that whilst the OTS 9 had a mere 40 round magazine, the PPSh-41 not only takes out enemies quicker but has an awe-inspiring 71 round mag. With these- almost ridiculous- advantages, there is nothing holding this gun back from completely destroying any of your opponents.

The DP27

‘A Jack of all trades is a master of none, yet often times better than a master of one,’ This quote perfectly describes this reliable LMG. A fast firing machine with recoil that is easily manageable in long range firefights along with handling stats that are far from the worst in its class, this lethal weapon can dish out tons on excellent damage to your opponents.

With damage similar to that of the MG82 and a recoil closer to the PKM, this gun is predicted to remain securely in the warzone meta for a long, long time. This is why its only fitting to go on the list of The Best Guns In CoD Warzone Pacific

The AK-47 – Cold War

The Best Guns in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1 include the AK-47
The Best Guns in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1 include the AK-47

Oh, the AK-47. However hard you look, you’ll have a serious challenge trying to find a gun that is more iconic and well known than this. But beyond the fame, it consistently puts out some great damage with good mobility. And the AK also has easy to manage recoil, so now the gun is even competitive at longer ranges.

Some may remember that previously the AK had a sharp damage drop-off making it near impossible to fight in large open areas. Now, courtesy of some long range weapon patches, this gun can even handle the likes of the FARA or XM4. Useful for all situations, no matter the map, an AK-47 will get you the victory if you know how to use it

The EM2

Now this is a gun that has been criminally underappreciated for far, far too long. The EM2 is stunningly damaging when compared to any other assault rifle, and it is one of the best long range guns in the game

A small drawback to this gun is the low rate of fire, making a missed shot a deadly mistake, but in the hands of the right player, this gun is unparalleled.

MP5- Cold War

The MP5 is a deadly SMG great for close quarters shootouts. Compared to another great SMG, the OTS 9, not only does this killer gun have the range advantage, its larger 50 round mag is a must have for trios or squads. Despite not seeming like a big difference, those extra 10 shots could be the difference between a win and a loss for some people, and that is definitely a risk I wouldn’t take.

Now it is more than worth mentioning that the OTS 9 has a decisive mobility advantage over the MP5. However, the advantages the MP5 has makes it just a good of a choice, the key factor is just how you prefer to play.

The Bullfrog

A much more well rounded SMG, the Bullfrog is great no matter your skill level and has absolutely massive magazines, allowing you to spray and pray all you wish. It has great range and the recoil is in a linear pattern making it easy to learn and counter, and a single headshot can completely change the course of battle. This makes the gun a great choice for anyone.

It does have some slight drawbacks, however. The damage on the gun is weaker than the other SMGs and it doesn’t kill people quite as fast. But it’s much more solid and reliable, and still incredibly deadly even in the hands of a novice player.

The Swiss K31

The best guns in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1 - The Swiss K31

No list of the best Warzone guns would be complete without a sniper rifle, and the Swiss K31 is the best of the best. With an ADS speed almost second to none, and the highest chest shot damage, this gun is an absolute monster. It’s easy to see why it has held a spot as the best sniping choice in the game since day one.

Though it has a slightly lower bullet velocity than other sniper rifles, most people won’t really notice unless you plan on being perched on a roof for the whole game. And even if that was the case, it still doesn’t take away from all of the other incredible qualities.

The Kar98k

This weapon is classed as a marksman rifle rather than a sniper weapon. However, it’s the only weapon that comes close to the power of the Swiss K31. Though lacking in chest shot damage, it more than makes up for it in ADS speed. It’s the Warzone equivalent of quickscoping and if you can land headshots, the lower chest shot damage won’t be an issue.

The MG82

An LMG at first glance seems like an odd choice, most of them are heavily lacking in reload speed and mobility. However, this example is one of the few that has the damage to balance the time loss. The MG82 gun can practically, disintegrate targets with its high damage, sending an enemy on a trip to the gulag faster than the AK-47 at close range. And it can still out perform other assault rifles at a distance.

The 100 round magazine also makes it worthwhile to sacrifice some movement for the destructive capability of this LMG. In the right hands, it becomes a hellish weapon that can tear the opposition to shreds.

Picking the right weapons in Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 1

That’s the end of our list of what would be considered the best guns. But ultimately the choice will come down to what you can scavenge, and the weapons which you’re most comfortable with. If you’re an expert with sniper rifles and struggle with SMGs, then you might want to opt for a less-powerful long distance approach, as you’ll have more success even if you’re using something that’s considered a lesser gun.

But if you can combine the recommendations with your own preferences, then you’ll have a good idea of the ideal loadouts. Or what to watch for when scavenging new weapons.
