If you aren’t looking forward to this game, there is something wrong with you!!
This game is one to watch this year, and I just have to say this, PC owners will enjoy this game more than others. However, Xbox 360 owners get first blood… erm taste, of this soon to be released PC system (and ok, consoles too) melting game.
Yesterday, Crytek Studios developed and EA published Crysis 2’s online multiplayer was unleashed exclusively on the Xbox 360… Exclusive at the moment anyway.
Whilst I wait for mine to download, previously witnessed graphical and performance issues seen at last years Gamescom have supposedly been ironed out. Yet there seems to be some controller input lag.
What do you think to the demo? Does it impress as much as Black Ops multiplayer? Or is this one game which should have remained a PC only title? Leave your thoughts below…
Update
Well… I downloaded it and have played a few matches… Man it’s harder to find a server to game on than Black Ops!! I guess it is a demo though. However, I do think the developers still have some lag issues which needs to be rectified if this is to take on the big CoD guns. Several times I have melee’d the opposition only to find myself to be dead as they had hit me a second before hand.
Other than that, there are some nifty features to this online demo. And it looks pretty good! But it’s not all about the looks.
With this demo, you play one of two game modes, Team Instant Action or Crash Site, on the only map of the game, Skyline.
Team instant action is self explanatory, just your everyday team deathmatch.
Crash site is similar to Headquarters on CoD, but with alien drop pods. With this mode, you earn points for guarding pods once you “activate it” for your team, and by stopping the enemy from getting close to damage and destroy the pod.
There are two teams to choose from, the C.E.L.L. and the Marines. Both have the same abilities and weapons at first, but the upgrades (I assume) will be slightly more team specific. Upgrades are unlocked when you rank up your player.
And last but not least, the Nanosuit is used in multiplayer! You can select from additional armour protection or put stealth mode on. Whichever mode you choose, your movement will be affected. With stealth mode, you run faster and are a little quieter. Additional armour, you seem to move a little slower.
