It may have been a bit tough being a Playstation 3 owner recently due to the network problems Sony has experienced after a hacking attack, but Treyarch are hoping to cheer you up with the news that the return of the Playstation Network is accompanied by a Double XP weekend for PS3 Black Ops gamers, starting on Friday May 20, 2011.
There’s no word on exactly when the ‘Escalation’ DLC pack will become available for Playstation owners, but Treyarch have said that following the release, PS3 owners will get another Double XP weekend.
And if you’re a PC owner, you’ll have to wait until June 2nd for the Escalation pack – all CoD DLC is currently tied in to be released on the Xbox 360 first as a timed exclusive, but you’ll still get July, August, September and October to enjoy the four new maps and Call of Duty zombie mode before Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 arrives.
