It’s that time of year. E3 is upon us and team Microsoft are first on the scene with their Xbox Keynote.
We’ll get to the other titles soon, but we’ll begin with one of the biggest sci-fi FPS franchises in all of Xbox kind. Halo. Master Chief and Cortana mark their return in Halo 4, the first instalment of an all new trilogy.
As expected, the story begins where Halo 3 finishes. There isn’t much to go on, but the huge ship like, welcome home opening, is definitely the start to another chapter. And an unpleasant one at that.

One thing that did surprise me on this announcement was that there’s to be this new trilogy. A fourth would have been good, but to carry on with another two?! Has the Halo franchise gone a little too far, too deep into space?!
With this in mind, it makes it clearer as to why the talented bunch at Bungie wanted to try something new and breakaway from continuing with the Halo universe.
Well, here’s hoping 343 Industries can fill the void and do an epic number on one hell of a franchise.
