The F.E.A.R. brand hits the trilogy mark this week with the release of the not so much discussed third instalment.
There’s no doubt the original F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) was a truly horrifying game. It was the first time a horror-themed shooter lived up to its initial hype providing a storyline worthy of making you jump out of your skin… A story revolving around supernatural phenomenon’s and the secrets surrounding the psychically powerful menace disguised as a delightful little girl… Alma Wade. A lovely product of Armacham Technology Corporation’s paranormal experiments.
You continue the role of the Point Man, leading the F.E.A.R. team and standing firmly by all given team orders, finally aiming to put to an end to the homocidal activities of his cannibalistic brother Paxton Fettel and his mother Alma, stopping these targets at any cost.
Developers, Day 1 Studios, have added a little extra spice to F.E.A.R. 3 with an all new co-op mode and improved covering system. However, nothing will compare to the added scares this title is surely bound to deliver on.
Are you looking forward to finishing F.E.A.R.’s engaging story? Or are you still freaked out by your previous jumpy encounters?! Tell us below.
F.E.A.R. 3 is out on Friday, 24th June in Europe, and was released on Tuesday in the US. Pre-order your copy at Game, HMV, Gamestation or even try to obtain retail copies a little earlier at Play
