It’s not long to go until the British round of the Call of Duty XP tournament will take place, with a $400,000 prize for the team which goes on to claim victory at the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles on September 3rd.
But first, if you haven’t registered yet, you’d need to go and sign up at the tournament site, and hope you make it into the 128 entry spots available for the UK round at Sound Nightclub in London’s Leicester Square. Some of the spots will be taken by invited four-person teams, but some of the 32 squads will be from those signing up to become the best four CoD: Black Ops gamers in the country.
There’s also a second UK tournament being run by HMV’s Gamerbase, with regional qualifiers in London, Manchester and Edinburgh, but with just 8 spots per area it’s looking pretty full, with the top two teams from each area, plus two gamerbase teams invited to a Grand Final in Manchester on Saturday, August 13th.
Those who made it into the Call of Duty Elite Beta have a number of ways to potentially qualify throughout the start of August, and regional qualifiers end with the German qualification series on August 20th. But even then, you could always attend the Call of Duty XP event for the final chances to qualify on September 2nd.
So have you entered? And if you make it into the tournements, why not let us know how you get on, and share your photos and videos of the action?
