Call of Duty clans on Xbox hardware had a major disadvantage during the opening night of the Tokyo Clan War. During the evening of Wednesday, May 28th, 2014, there was a major issue with multiplayer access to games, particularly Xbox Live. Many players, us included, could sign in online but would get kicked back offline when trying to access online multiplayer for Call of Duty: Ghosts and some other games.
Beachhead Studio did respond to the issue, finally announcing at around 2am UK time that scoring was paused.
Unfortunately the timing seems a little off – the problem seemed to start around 9pm UK time, and lasted for us until around 11pm UK time. The suggestion is that the scoring has been ditched for that period due to inconsistent/corrupted data rather than lack of access.
In the meantime, Playstation clans had most of an evening to wrack up the points before scoring was seemingly paused for about 2 hours.
Still, there’s one incentive to keep playing with a Double XP weekend on Call of Duty Ghosts across all platforms.
