Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will include a new multiplayer mode named Free Run, which will see players compete to record the best time on a futuristic obstacle course. It’s partly a way to get used to the intricacies of the new movement system in the latest of the Treyarch series, as well as a way to compete against other CoD players online.
Other details revealed in the latest Black Ops 3 Friday live stream were the rewards for people who have played multiplayer in Black Op 2, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. If you managed to get to just Level 10, you’ll unlock a bespoke calling card. Level 31 in any of the last 3 games gets you a custom reticle. And if you’ve prestiged in any of the games you get a special weapons camo.
Not the hardest things to unlock, but it’s worth making sure you’ve got your details registered with the Call of Duty site and they match your gaming details for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network etc.
Having prestiged to the maximum levels in Black Ops 1, Black Ops 2 and Ghosts (I’ve actually gone back to Modern Warfare 3 to try and finished that off at the moment), it’s a shame the rewards tier isn’t a bit higher, and doesn’t go back to the earlier games.
Other questions include the reason why a gun on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 promo posters has the name ‘Sally’ on it, why the Nomad specialist features in the Redwood map, and more details about the single-player campaign narrative.
