Chivalry is a first person hack, slash and shooter now available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It allows for up to 24 players to battle online with 25 battlefields and a horde mode. Third person perspective is also available.
It was released as the first commercial game by Torn Banner Studios and is similar to their previous Half-Life 2 mod Age of Chivalry. You get various medieval weapons, ballistae, catapults and boiling oil to play with. Multiplayer modes include Free For All, Duel, Team Deathmatch and Objective-based modes. It also appeared on the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in December 2014.
PlayStation 4 owners can enjoy the brutal and bloody warfare at 60 frames-per-second. Unfortunately the Xbox One version only manages 30 frames-per-second. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is out now and costs $19.99,or 19.99 Euros. Or you can buy it on Steam for the PC.
If that doesn’t quench your need for FPS-based melee mayhem, there’s always Warhammer: End Times Vermintide arriving imminently…
