The Battlefield 1 Official Reveal Trailer for the new first person shooter in the Battlefield series from DICE and publishers Electronic Arts. The game will be released on October 21st, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC
A public beta will be available, and we’ll keep you updated as part of the build-up to the game. The Standard Game Edition will include up to 64-player multiplayer with vehicles including tanks, bikes, bi-planes and battleships.
The Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition includes early access from October 18th, 2016. It also has the Hellfighter, Red Baron and Lawrence of Arabia packs of themed weapons and gear, plus five extra Battlepacks of items. PC prices are $59.99 for Standard and $79.99 for the Early Enlister Edition. On Xbox One it’s £54.99 and £69.99.
For history buffs, the Hellfighter pack refers to the 369th Infantry Regiment, which was the first African American regiment to serve during World War 1, which had the nickname the Harlem Hellfighters given to them by German forces due to the fact they never lost a man through capture, lost a trench or a foot of ground to the enemy. Their motto was ‘Don’t Tread On Me’.
Lawrence of Arabia (T.E Lawrence) was an archeologist who ended up becoming an adviser on the Ottoman Empire, and found himself fighting alongside Arab irregular troops in guerilla operations against the Ottoman Empire, including the Capture of Aqaba and the Battle of Tafileh.
The Red Baron, Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen was the famous German fighter pilot of World War 1, credited with 80 confirmed air combat victories. That total came between training as a pilot in October 1915, and eventually being shot down on 21st April 1918.
