When Modern Warfare 2 was introduced to the masses, the Spec Ops mode was a nice new feature. Not only did it prolong playing life away from online multiplayer action, it introduced the ability for players to team up with friends to complete challenges. The only thing was, there were no bragging rights.
Well people, Spec Ops is back and this time has a progressive ranking system and leader-board. But that’s not all. There is an online matching system too.
Along with Spec Ops, there is another gaming mode thrown in the mix. An all new Survival Mode, similar to that of Treyarch’s Zombies. However, it sounds as though Infinity Ward (and co-developers Sledgehammer Games, with Raven Software on multiplayer) have put a bit more realism in to the new mode.
There aren’t any zombies, but you will have to fend off waves of enemies, which include kamikaze soldiers and suicide attack bomber dogs; with all battles taking place in all maps available for multiplayer action.
What do you think to the new gaming modes and Spec Ops tweaks? Are you looking forward to MW3 even? Let us know below.
Pre-orders are now being taken, so place yours at Game, Play, Gamestation and HMV.
